Discover what may well be the oldest rocks on the Iberian Peninsula<\/h2>

This trail is extraordinary<\/strong> from an educational point of view, because within a very short distance you pass through two very different geological worlds:<\/p>\n

  1. Carbonates\u00a0<\/strong> \u2192 a former shallow sea characterised by chemical precipitation and carbonate ecosystems.<\/li>\n
  2. The Formation of La Umbr\u00eda<\/strong> \u2192 a very ancient metamorphosed detrital series, which many authors correlate with the Black Series, one of the oldest sedimentary records in the Iberian Massif.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This means that we have moved from a landscape formed by soluble and rigid rocks to one dominated by heavily deformed schists and quartz schists<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
